On Monday, Oct. 3, investigators from the Montgomery County Department of Police Second District offered new details about a September robbery at Strosniders Hardware in the 10500 block of Connecticut Avenue in Kensington.
In the video (which can be viewed above), the two can be seen pulling up to the hardware store while it was open to canvas the area on Thursday, Sept. 15, leaving without making any purchases.
At approximately 3:40 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, the pair then returned, smashed through a window in the front of the store, and stole several items. An alarm was activated, but the two were able to flee before the police arrived.
One of the suspects is described as a white man in his 60s, with white short hair, a white trimmed beard, wearing glasses, a blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes.
The other suspect is described as a man of an unknown race, between 30 and 40 years old, with black short hair, a beard, wearing black sunglasses, a gray Washington Nationals t-shirt, blue jeans, and white shoes.
